Chaukori is perched at a natural elevation of 2010 meters above sea level and provides a spectacular overwhelming view of snow covered sky touching Himalayan peaks especially Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot. It is mainly popular for its tea plantations which were set up by the British. Chaukori is a small place and it is yet to be explored. Since this place has not been travelled much, it is free from pollution and crowd. Berinag: 10 km away from Chaukori this place provide excellent view of Himalayan peaks and was once popular for its tea gardens.

Gangolihat: At a distance of 35 km, this place attracts devotes of Goddess Kali. The famous Hat- Lalika temple dedicated to Goddess Kali is situated here. This is a popular venue for local fairs.

Patal Bhuvneshwar: 49 km away from Chaukori and 14 km from Gangolihat this place has caves which are famous for limestone formations that are linked to Hindu mythology.
