RUDRAPARYAG

Among one of the Pryag in “Pnach Pryag”, Rudrapyag is city of Rudra “Lord shiva”. Rudraprayag is situated at the holy confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers which gives a special religious significance to this place in Hindu religion. From here two separate routes for Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham, renders great importance to the place. This place is around 34 Kms far from Srinagar & 140 Kms from Rishikesh, situated at an average elevation of 895 metres about 2,936 feet above sea level. This region is rich in immense natural beauty, one can see many lakes, mesmerising glaciers, stunning mountains, rivers and streams here. While visitng Rudraprayag There are a few temples that are located in the town as well and these are a must visit, some important temples names are Jagdamaba Temple and the Shiva Temple. Kedarnath Jyotirlinga which is one of the most important pilgrimage for practicing Hindus is located 90 kms from here.

By train: The nearest railway station to Rudraprayag is Rishikesh. Rishikesh railway station is situated 140kms before Rudraprayag. Commercial taxis and private cars are available for your onward journey from there.

By road: Rudrprayg is well connected by motorable roads with major destinations of Uttarakhand state. Rudraprayag is situated on NH 7.
