Pithoragarh Fort

Also called London fort. The majestic fort is located in the top of a hill and was built by the Gorkhas in the 18th century. Presently government buildings are housed in the fort.

Kapileshwar Mahadev

The beautiful cave temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple offers captivating view of valley.

Thal Kedar Temple

The temple resides in the lapse of nature with trees all around and can be reached through a narrow pathway. The location offers amazing views of the valley and is perfect to experience the divinity and connect to the soul within.

Chandak

Just 8 kms from Pithoragarh lies the Chandak hill. It resides a temple dedicated to God Manu and is also a spot for hang gliding.

Patal Bhuvneshwar

91 kms from Pithoragarh lies the extraordinary example of cave temple, the shrine of lord Shiva. The narrow entry to the cave will take you to the phenomenally large caves with beautiful natural structures.

Narayan Ashram

It is an agglomeration of spiritual, social and educational centre with palisade with panorama. Apart from samadhi sthal the ashram also houses meditation room, library and a school.

Jhulaghat

It is a small town named after the hanging bridge in river Kali. The bridge connects river India and Nepal.

Askot Sanctuary

Train: The nearest railway station is at Tanakpur (146 kms). From Tanakpur buses and taxis are easily available.

Airlines: The district has its own airport known as Naini-Saini, though less operational. The other nearest airport is at Pantnagar which is 241 Kms from Pithoragarh.
