PAURI

Pauri situated at an elevation of 1820 meters from sea-level on Kandoliya hills. Pauri is the headquarter of the district Pauri Garhwal and also headquater for Garhwal zone. Pauri offers mesmerising view of snow capped peaks of Bunderouch, Swargarohini, Gangotri, Jogin, Kedarnath, Kharcha kund, Sumeru, Satopanth, Trishul, Neelkanth, Nanda Devi etc. Famous for many popular treks towards Khirshu, Kandoliya, Lwalli valley, Tara kund trek, Kinkleshwar temple etc. these treks offers spectacular view of prestine valley, forest, rich flora and fauna also paradise for bird watchers. Pauri also has many scared temples kandoliya mahadev & Danda Nagraja temple which are flocked with devotees around the year who visits these temples to seek blessings of Lord Shiva.
